Why We Love Hiking, And Why You Might Too

Hiking is a past time as old as humanity. Whether for enjoyment, fitness or to reach a summit, it is a universally understood form of exercise.  Being in a country where we experience beautiful, green summers and mild winters, it would be a shame not to go out and explore the untouched nature around us.  During the course of 2021, members from ACE TaeKwon-Do have organized hikes to the following reserves and parks:

Van Gaalen’s Cheese Farm, Voortrekker Monument, Hennops River, Cradle Moon, Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens.

It is very social, while allowing for social distancing

It gets the kids away from screens - digital detox!

But how do I get started?

Get in touch with us to find out when our next open invitation, group hike will be.  We do them once per month at the minumum, and firmly believe in ‘the more the merrier’.

Wear some sturdy trainers (not your newest, cleanest pair), bring a bottle of water and an energy bar as well as your friends and family and come join us!
